I’m 17 years into the accountancy profession as of 2023 and have worked for a number of regional, national and even an international ‘top 10’ firm before setting up my own practice a few years ago.

I’ve always worked in general practice rather than focussing on just one area so it made sense to set my practice up the same way. We look after everything from accounts, bookkeeping and VAT to payroll, tax planning and self assessment and much more. Companies, sole traders, partnerships, charities and CIC’s – we really are as general practice as you can get. As much as a dislike the expression we’re a one-stop-shop for anything accounting.

A few years ago we began working with a few dance academies and from there we’ve focused our business that way. It’s a lovely industry to work within, there’s some delicate HMRC legislation to navigate so it really is a bit of a niche which needs focus but alongside that we’ve met some incredible people which makes me love my job even more. So we very much have become ‘Dance School Accountants’.

And of course we are thrilled to be working alongside Deborah in the Dance Business Lab. The community that’s been built here in particular is something special.
